Wears Valley, Tennessee is one of the best-kept secrets of the Great Smoky Mountains. OK, it's not exactly a secret—but if you're looking for a place to settle back and enjoy some of the area's best mountain scenery while also keeping a respectable distance from the hustle and crowds of the tourist scene, Wears Valley has got your name written all over it.

This idyllic hamlet is situated in a valley marked by level to rolling terrain and lots of open pastureland. Framing this pastoral scene is majestic Cove Mountain, which stands watch nearby as the rest of the Smokies tower over the horizon farther beyond. The community itself offers a number of antique stores, craft shops and restaurants, but the level of development is moderate, and you won't find the traditional types of attractions and amusements that are common to the more heavily trafficked cities. You also won't find much in the way of hotels or motels there either; that's because mountain cabins in Wears Valley are the accommodations of choice.

When planning your stay in Wears Valley, note that we have two Smoky Mountain cabins that would be ideally suited for your visit. Our cabin locations are centrally convenient to several popular Smokies destinations, including Townsend, TN (which is just another few miles farther down U.S. 321) and the most lightly traveled entrances to Great Smoky Mountains National Park. And if you're looking for cabins near Pigeon Forge, our properties will still fit the bill, since Wears Valley is only 10 miles away from that city.
